Missions
Though God was completely self-sufficient and full of joy within the God-head prior to and even after the Fall, His merciful love set in motion a plan spanning the globe and human history to glorify Himself by choosing a People to represent Him in the world (Israel) out
of which came the Savior Jesus Christ. The Cross and empty tomb and sending of the
Holy Spirit not only inaugurated the church but unleashed Christ's global mission to gain fame and praise from every tribe, language, people and nation. As Psalm 67:4-5 says,
"Let the nations be glad and sing for joy...Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You!"
This is what fuels our joy in missions: the passion of Christ to use us as proclaimers of His grace to gain growing world-wide fame for His name.
